Apple Iphone History and Features

The Iphone has revolutionized the way cell phones are perceived. With its wide array of features that include GPS navigation, Internet Browsing and touch screen interface, the Iphone has advanced the cell phone market. The Iphone was officially launched and available for purchase on June 29th, 2007. The phone became such an instant sensation that it was sold out almost immediately upon launch. The anticipation of the launch was so overwhelming that within a span of only 30 hours, over 270,000 Iphones was sold during that period of time.

One of the great features of the Iphone is the touch screen. The ease of simply touching the screen to complete commands was a welcomed feature for a cell phone. The liquid crystal display with scratch resistant glass also added to the allure of the Iphone. The Iphone is also considered to be a very interactive phone which means you control how you use its functions. The ability to pinch, expand, move up and down what you see on the screen are features that set apart the Iphone from any other phone on the market.

GreenField Ethanol who is Canada's leading ethanol producer, just yesterday accepted its 100,000th delivery of corn to its Chatham Ontario plant. GreenField Ethanol gets its corn from local Canadian producers.

For the 100,000 delivery, local truck driver Gary Johnston of Wallaceburg, Ontario arrived early yesterday morning to deliver corn from the farm of Jim and Lorne Smith which is in Kent Bridge Ontario.

GreenField Ethanol President and CEO Bob Gallant said of the event, "Since our Chatham plant opened in 1997, GreenField Ethanol's success has been linked with the Chatham-Kent community. This 100,000th delivery of corn would not have been possible without our Chatham employees and the local farms and businesses that we work with on a daily basis, year in, year out. This milestone would not be possible without the local farmers and everyone in the Chatham-Kent community."

Canada Revenue Agency Tax Tip - File Electronically

Did you know that currently millions of Canadians file their income tax return electronically every year? You can too, by using NETFILE to safely and securely send your return over the Internet to the Canada Revenue Agency. You can also ask your tax preparer to use EFILE.

The advantage of filing your return electronically means that you don't have to mail your return or send in your receipts, unless the Canada Revenue Agency asks to see them. You may also get your refund quicker. Sometimes your return may come in as little as eight business days!

To find out more about Canada Revenue Agency's electronic services, you can visit www.cra.gc.ca/eservices for more information.

Announced today is the newly signed agreement by Tri-Vision International Ltd and Sharp Corporation for V-Chip licensing. The previous deal expired at the end of March 2007.

Currently, Tri-Vision's open V-chip is the only known patented technology capable of accepting modified or new rating systems.

Bioscrypt Inc., a leading provider of enterprise access control technologies, has announced that the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority has selected a handheld rugged biometric reader from Labcal Technologies Inc. that incorporates Bioscrypt technology to authenticate employees in 29 Canadian airports. Bioscrypt and Labcal collaborated closely to integrate Bioscrypt's award winning fingerprint matching algorithm in Labcal's reader, the Be.U Mobile.

Password Manager Eliminates Application-to-Application and Privileged Password Risks

Cloakware Inc., a security solutions provider that makes security inseparable from software, has announced the immediate availability of Cloakware Server Password Manager 3, the first and only commercial solution to automatically and securely manage passwords that connect administrators to critical network infrastructure and hard-coded passwords that connect applications to other applications. CSPM 3 meets the needs of even the largest, most regulated companies.

Organizations worldwide face pressure from commercial and federal legislation that either indirectly or explicitly requires all passwords within an enterprise be managed and changed on a regular basis. In addition, organizations struggle to secure shared privileged passwords that grant IT administrators and other insiders or contractors access to critical assets.

CSPM is the first commercially supported product to provide comprehensive management of both application-to-application (A2A) and privileged administrator passwords. CSPM 3 now supports a broader set of server, agent and target platforms and supports most target applications. With CSPM 3, organizations improve compliance, protect confidential data, decrease system downtime and lower operating costs across the enterprise.

Information Security Experts See Rise in Organized Crime For 2007

Global security experts see a difficult year ahead for cybercrime issues, according to a compendium of expert predictions released by Risk Bloggers today. Among the key findings of the group, sophisticated criminal organizations will increasingly exploit technology to stay ahead of corporate and consumer defenses and cause unprecedented losses in 2007. Among the key vulnerabilities cited were large groups of zombie computers organized into Botnets, web server security holes and uncontrolled mobile devices, such as smart phones and portable storage.

ccording to Dave Cullinane, noted Chief Information Security Officer and co-founder of the Alliance for Enterprise Security Risk Management, "Attack methodologies will become dramatically more sophisticated and dangerous. The risk of cyber-terrorism will continue to increase as world tensions increase. Lack of preparation and plans to deal with the consequences place countries and businesses at significant risk."

Yahoo! Canada Buzz Index Shows Canadians Kicking Off 2007 By Looking for Jobs

The New Year often brings resolve to change one's life, and it appears many Canadians started looking for new careers before the fireworks cooled or the champagne lost its fizz.

Week one kicked off with a high-profile job change: Prime Minister Stephen Harper shuffled Rona Ambrose out of her post as Environment Minister, and curious Canadians brought searches for her to the top of our list of breakout subjects.

Perhaps this inspired more job changes as the week progressed, when Canadians conducted a slew of searches related to jobs, career change, and job-hunting. Some notable search-growths: "Work from home" increased 122 per cent, "Canada Job Bank" grew 113 per cent, and "Job Search" was up 102 per cent.

"Along with all the usual New Year's resolutions related to diet and exercise, many Canadians seemed to decide on finding a new job in 2007 is a priority, and that made a significant impact on Canadian online culture in the first week of the year," says Oliver Ho, pop-culture specialist and editor of the Buzz Index for Yahoo! Canada.
