Software: Simple Way to Publish Digital Stories on Windows Live Spaces
Mixpo, a new online media publishing service that lets individuals effortlessly create portfolios of video, photos and audio right from their desktops, is offering its service to more than 120 million users of Windows Live Spaces through the Windows Live Gadgets platform.
Users will now be able to add compelling multimedia stories to their Space as an embedded blog entry or a gadget called a Mixcard, with no limits to the number of files or file size.
"Rich media is an important way for people to share their stories with friends or the world," said David Fortin, senior director of product management at Windows Live. "Mixpo offers users the simple tools for publishing multimedia they want to maintain control of, expanding the ways in which they can share their stories with confidence. Mixpo's use of the Windows Live Gadgets platform is innovative and showcases an important pillar of our strategy to create an ecosystem of partners."
The service is designed especially for people who need an easy way to create multimedia stories that showcase their memories, expertise, creativity or talents, and connect with their audiences. These everyday people also require total control to post, update, or delete their stories. Mixpo provides that "on the fly" control, right from the desktop.
"Mixpo is excited about this opportunity to make our service readily available to users of Windows Live Spaces around the world," said Anupam Gupta, COO of Mixpo. "Mixpo is designed for everyday people who have a story to tell, and want a simple way to share it. We are excited about helping Spaces users express themselves better."
